John Lorance speaks next in favor of Mr. Abbott, and then DROPS A BOMB when he makes the statement "Spangler should not even be allowed to be a police officer. Spangler and other officers and a convicted inmate destroyed a meth lab for Judge Peek's son. Steve Peek has not been indicted or prosecuted for possession of that lab." |

| Mark Lesher, Jimmy Townsend, Jane Bratton Speak in Favor of Mr. Abbott. The Court entertains motion to move into executive session, and Mr Lesher interrupts stating they should wait to make this decision until Rufus Ward is able to be in court to vote. The Commissioners vote on moving into executive session. |

| Mark Lesher tries to convince court to wait for Rufus. The Judge quotes law about quorum. Jimmy Maulden speaks in favor of Mr. Abbott being appointed Sheriff. The Court Moves into executive session. The court returns from executive session, and Elmer Caton speaks about the people who called him and who the majority supported. He made the motion to appoint Royce Abbott Sheriff. |

| Judge Peek asks for a Second on Elmer's Motion. The motion dies for lack of a second. Joseph makes a statement about not being able to go along with the majority of the people who called him, and then made the motion to appoint Terry Reed as Sheriff. Judge Peek asks for a second, and then seconds the motion himself. The Commissioners vote. Elmer votes no. The Judge thanks everyone for coming. |
