Question from a Reader of the Site

I know that the Officials in the County Government know how good you are with computers.  Why don't they use your services instead of going out of county?

A.  The county does not use my services because they think that I would violate confidentiality.  They have accused me of violating their confidentiality by publishing and talking about their e-mail addresses.  I did not do anything wrong, because if I had violated any legal confidentiality, they would have been on me like a bird on a worm.  They know that I did nothing wrong because there has been no "legal action" against me.  Sure they threatened it, but when it came down to it, they did not have the law on their side, and they knew that from the start.  They just accused me of this to "Hurt my business".  They will not do business with any business for long, if they cannot "buy" that businessperson into their "clique" thus, protecting their secrets.  Unfortunately, I could not be bought, and believe me, the money is attractive.

The main reason they do not want me working on their computers is that they have "something to hide" and they are deathly afraid that I will find it.  Most government records are open to the public, and the ones that aren't would be protected by law that they know that I would not, and could not divulge because of the penalties of the law, no matter how much I wanted to make it public.  I worked in the "VV Express Office" for several years, and nothing was divulged that was confidential then, nor has anything I saw then been divulged in the present, and there definitely are a few things that if I could talk about them I would in a heartbeat.  I can't and I won't to anyone for any reason.  That is legal confidentiality, and nothing will ever make me break it.

So, they just don't like me because I write about them on this website and tell what I know, and give the citizens the opportunity to tell what they know.  It has nothing to do with my abilities to work on computers or my lack of those same abilities. It also has nothing to do with my ethics on confidentiality. They are just afraid of "something" that is "hidden" that I might see that is not covered by confidentiality, and they cannot afford to have it brought to the public's attention, by me requesting an open record of it after I have seen it.

I know this, and now you know this!
