August 2000 Townsend begins affair with Chesshire

June 2001 Emmers fraudulently orders Computer

July 2001 Clarksville PD. Seized the computer from Emmers

(Date N/A) Appeals Court states that "In fact, most of the record suggests that Townsend took the computer at a date later than 2001." and later on in the record states "As will become evident, the record is far from clear on that issue." and further on in the opinion "The record suggests several different dates from both the State's and defense's witnesses."  Later the opinion states "Looking again at Chesshire's initial written statement the day the computer was seized, this time in a neutral light, we point out that a literal application of that statement would mean that Townsend possessed the computer in May 2001, before the computer was ever ordered." and later on in the decision, "Since it is undisputed that the computer was shipped in July 2001, it is impossible for Townsend to have possessed it in May 2001."

October 2002, Emmers dies and the case is closed

(Date N/A) Crow tells Townsend and Chesshire of Steve Peeks Drug Lab, and that Red River Deputies had destroyed it, and it had been "hushed up"

(Date N/A) The Opinion States "Meanwhile, Judge Peek had gotten word of some questionable disappearances from the C.P.D. evidence locker and contacted Randy Haltom of the Special Crimes Unit with the Texas Department of Public Safety."

January 28, 2004 Sheriff Conway requests Commissioners Court to kick the Drug Task Force out of Red River County

May 2005 John Lorance makes statement about Steve Peeks Drug Lab and its destruction by RR County Sheriffs Department in Commissioners Court

May 2005, I (Ernest Henslee) was threatened in the Parking lot of Bowie County Court House by Constable Tim Shimpock. He threatened me once before when I was writing for "The Star" and reluctantly admitted it when I confronted him about it then. This time I was told by Constable Shimpock, that "If you write anything about Larry Spangler, me, Mark Perkins or anyone else going out to Judge Peeks house destroying a drug lab for Steve Peek, we will get crosswise (laying his hand on the butt of his weapon) and that's not a threat, that's a fact.", and Mark Perkins replied "And that's a fact."  I filed a formal written complaint with the FBI in Dallas on Shimpock and  Perkins for the threat, and also filed a complaint against Val Varley "VV Express" for attempting to tamper with the testimony of an expert witness. The "VV Express"  tried to get me to change my valuation of the computer to bolster his case against Townsend!!!  It seems suspicious to me that the threat came after "VV" basically threw a fit, and called me an asshole.  I wonder.....   

May 2005 Jimmy Townsend found Guilty of 3rd degree felony and sentenced to 4 years in prison

September 26, 2005 Steve Peek Placed on Probation for Possession of Methamphetamines, and tested positive for them on Sept 26, 2005 (the same day they placed him on probation) and again on Oct 4, 2005.  NO JAIL TIME NO VIOLATION OF PROBATION

March 1, 2006 Steve Peek appears in Drug Court and blows a Blood Alcohol level of .025 "This is well above the legal limit."  He was placed with the SCRAM Unit, and it was removed on July 13, 2006. You are not supposed to drink while on probation!! NO JAIL TIME NO VIOLATION OF PROBATION

April 28, 2006 Steve Peek stopped for speeding and search reveals .06 grams of meth (confirmed by lab), and a brown leather bag containing needles and a spoon.

May 12, 2006 Steve Peek pleads no contest to Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and pays a fine of $200.00  NO JAIL TIME NO VIOLATION OF PROBATION

June 29, 2006 Steve Peek Completes NETCADA Course and placed back into Drug Court Program.

July 20, 2006 Steve Peek charged with theft of Property>$20. <$500. by check.

August 18, 2006 Application to Revoke Probation filed against Steven Peek by the "VV Express's"  Stand In. (If he doesn't want to do something he gets a Stand In to take his place).  We all know that it is for the appearance of propriety only!

Date N/A Steve Peek arrested and placed in RR County Jail. No Revocation Hearing Set.

August 20, 2006 Steven Peek indicted for possession of .06 grams of meth by Lamar County Grand Jury. 

September 10, 2006 This Site received information from Source that Judge Peek is tampering with Steve Peeks urine samples at the Probation Department, with their knowledge, and has been doing this for quite some time. It seems that he could have possibly been doing it at least since after Oct. 4th 2005, because his urine seems to have not tested positive after that time.  See Revocation Status Reports by the Probation Department.  We all know that he has been using because he was stopped and .06 grams of meth and paraphernalia were in his possession, so he had not stopped all of a sudden. That does not just "happen" with meth!!

September, 2006  County Source reveals that possible "State Boot Camp" in the Works for Steve Peek, (we all knew they would not send him to TDC if they could keep from it) and if he passes will be placed back on Probation!!!!  Just goes to show if you are part of the elite, the "VV Express" will do anything he can to protect you!

September 20, 2006 6th Court of Appeals Reverses and Renders verdict of 3rd. Degree Felony (finds him innocent) against Jimmy Townsend, and Remands case back to lower court on lesser charge stating that there probably is not enough evidence to sustain a guilty verdict even on the lesser charge.
