5/30/2006 Clarksville, It seems there might be another lawsuit in the making against the Government of Red River County in the legal wranglings of the "VV Express", and Precinct 2 Commissioner M.D. Whittle due to the Commissioners road he is building across the Graff Ranch. Now I am being told that there is going to be charges filed against the land owner Steven Graff, and his ranch foreman Jeff Pennington for interfering in the process of building this road. This is being done because they have stood up against the building of the road, removal of fences and cattle guards. The were told to expect to face charges and jail time, all for fighting the "GOB" system here in RR County. No personal interference has occurred with the road building process other than verbal and legal opposition, but because of this verbal and legal opposition the "VV Express" is once again stoking up the boilers to steam ahead full speed against the rights of free speech and the civil liberties of the citizens, taxpayers, and landowners of this county. When are the people of this county going to understand that violations of someone's rights is a violation of their civil liberties also. Trumped up charges to try and intimidate and bully over people's rights and voice by arresting them for speaking out is costing all of us taxpayer dollars in the long run. We as citizens need to let the "GOB's" in the county government know that we are going to vote them out of office the next time they come up for election if they do not quit wasting our tax money feeding the lawsuit industry that they building. It is definitely not the lawyers who are filing the lawsuits against the county who are the problem, they are representing the victims of the "GOB" system after it has given them a trumped up ride on the "VV Express." I will admit that I only have one side of this story, (I couldn't get the other side if I wanted too because no one in the GOB network would talk to me) but bringing someone up on charges and putting them into the Criminal Justice System is just a little bit much, don't you think? If they have done something illegal, I do not have a problem with charges being filed, but if they haven't then threats of charges and attempts at intimidation is just a regular part of the process here in RR County. We all have the right to bitch and gripe about government if we "vote". We also have the right to waste our money on lawyers if we so desire to fight our cause, no matter how many think it futile. Is this what we as taxpayers in this county want from our Government, Justice System, and the "VV Express". Hey "VV", instead of going after taxpayers who have no record and never have had, why not get some of the "Major Drug Suppliers" in this county behind bars. You continue to indict people from CI002's shenanigans knowing he is dirty, but the real Drug Suppliers and Dealers in this county go untouched. Just why is that? Now we hear you are going after a legitimate land owner and citizen to further the profits and land values of another one of the "GOB's". I guess that it should not surprise any of us to see them just take what they want all in the name of County Government or Justice, because that is what they do here!!!!!!
