Decision by the 6th Court of Appeals in Texarkana.

The way I read, this ruling is more in favor of the Defense than the Prosecution. To me it says they did not meet the burden of proof, and that they probably will not meet the burden of proof even if they retry the case.

Take special note of the reference in the ruling to the fact that "However, we need not delve into many of the sordid details of the several stories and theories surrounding the events in Red River County."  This statement says all there is to say, and it comes from an "Official Ruling by the 6th Judicial Court of Appeals" in the State of Texas.

So, we have an official ruling that states Red River County is (abject, avaricious, base, calculated, corrupt, covetous, debauched, degenerate, degraded, despicable, dirty, disreputable, dowdy, filthy, foul, frowsy, grasping, grubby, ignoble, impure, low, low-down, mean, mercenary, miserable, miserly, nasty, poor, scurvy, seedy, self-seeking, selfish, servile, shabby, shameful, slatternly, sleazy, slovenly, slum, slummy, small, small-minded, squalid, unclean, uncleanly, ungenerous, venal, vicious, vile, wretched, abject, abominable, cheap, coarse, common, contemptible, corrupt, depraved, despicable, disgraceful, dishonorable, disreputable, foul, groveling, humble, ignoble, immoral, indelicate, loathsome, lowly, mean, menial, offensive, paltry, pitiful, plebeian, poor, scandalous, servile, shameful, shoddy, sleazy, sordid, sorry, squalid, trashy, ugly, unworthy, vile, worthless, wretched.....and backed up by (See words that mean the same thing by clicking here!)

The Court also states that "Accordingly, we reverse the conviction and render a judgment of acquittal on the third-degree felony offense."  This means that Jimmie Townsend is not guilty of the third-degree felony offense, and cannot be retried for it.

I state it again, the system here "SUCKS", and so do a lot of the elected officials and their attitudes on blind justice.  This decision shows how things are handled in this County!!

I was called by the "VV Express" whom I was working for at the time on Computers at his office, and was asked to value the computer Townsend allegedly stole.  I made the trip 2 days in a row to the Court House in New Boston during the trial, and was on the "VV Express" witness list as a expert witness.  When I gave him my valuation (which was less than Mr. Mitchell's at the time, but I did not know it) he became angry because I would not change the figures to support his case. Needless to say, I was not called as his witness. This is when we had our "falling out". I was threatened in the Court House Parking lot in Bowie County by Tim Shimpock, which was witnessed and backed up by Mr. Mark Perkins.   This threat was reported to the FBI (not in this area) by myself as a formal complaint. I never worked on the Counties computers again.
