American and a Dutchman were talking one day and the American asked the
Dutchman, "What does your flag look like?" The Dutchman replied, "Our flag has 3 stripes and is red, white and blue. We say the colors have a connection to our taxes -- when we talk about them, we get red in the face; when we get the tax bills, we get white in the face, and then we pay them until we get blue in the face." The American told the Dutchman, "Well, I certainly understand that. It's exactly how it is over here, but you're luckier than we are. After all that, we see stars." |
