Official Copies of Commissioners Court Meeting Appointing Terry Reed Acting Sheriff 5/2/2005  This is more than just interesting reading.  It has a bomb in it. I ran across it in the files, and thought I would include it on the site.  Some of you probably have never heard about the contents of this meeting.
Possum Passing Persimmon Pitts   Ad Appeared in the Clarksville Times
Letters from the Jail Employees    These letters were received by Jimmy Maulden.  We appreciate your contribution Jimmy.   You can tell by the way the letters are written that they come from someone who knows the Red River County Jail and its operation.  Therefore the webmaster believes these letters to be authentic.  He knows from talking with jail employees that the Appointed Acting Sheriff will fire a whistle blower, as will any county official who finds one.  This is the reason these letters were submitted anonymously.   I feel sorry for these employees that have to contend with a job like theirs, and then have the Appointed Acting Sheriff not care enough about their health to ban smoking in the jail.  In Texas prisons, it is.........
Letter to the Editor of the Clarksville Times From Mark Lesher   This letter from Mark was within the guidelines of the Clarksville Times, and really not a political ad.  The Clarksville Times refused to print this letter, even paid for.  I ask you the question,  If they refuse to print our letters, are they possibly  slanting just a little bit to one side?  Since this posting, the Clarksville Times decided to print the letter in its entirety. It appeared in 3/30/06 paper.   We appreciate the Times reconsidering their position on letters, and hope the system they incorporate for the next election will cause them less heartburn.
Registered Letter Concerning Campaign Signs   It is amazing that these signs were OK during the Primary Election when 4 candidates were running in the race, but now that there is only 2 and one of them is their appointed Appointed Acting Sheriff, the signs have come to the attention of Val Varley County Attorney.   Just who are  these public.........
News Ad Response by Royce Abbott to Arrest Record   This ad appeared in the March 23, 2006 Clarksville times in response to the Arrest Record being passed around by County Attorney Val Varley's Investigator Mark Perkins.
Comments on the Avery Storm Shelter Meeting   There was something that was said to Mr. Abbott by Mac Varley that shows that they might be trying to change the outcome of the election.  Mac Varley made the statement ........
My First and Last Paid Endorsement Letter to the Clarksville Times
Response Letter to Abbott Arrest Report Posted 3/23/2006     Information learned from the Texas Attorney's  General office is that Arrest Reports are not posted on the public domain for public access, or search.  Only convictions are published in the public domain search areas because arrest are just that, and are held in the criminal background system to protect the innocent. People are Innocent until PROVEN Guilty.  We do realize that in RRC it is the opposite, but by law it is not supposed to be that way.  What has happened here is just the reason they do this.  In other words, an arrest means nothing without an indictment or conviction.
