                                                                    A lesson learned.                          September 28, 2006

For those of you who read this site and think, this is a crazy man, my answer is yes I am.  Writing this site is crazy.  I want everyone out there to know that just because I write this site and bring to light the things that are wrong with our county government, and our elected officials that I am human, and I have done things in my life that I am not proud of.  I am not perfect, nor do I claim to be, nor would I ever claim to be.

The only man who ever walked on this earth who was perfect was Jesus Christ, and he gave his life so that we could have life.  He walked the path that we all must sooner or later walk.  We may not get to the end through the same paths, but in the end, if we have made our best efforts to get there, he has given us the forgiveness to reach our goal and in the end, our salvation.  Through the steps of his life on this earth, he gave us the knowledge to navigate the intricacies of our lives. Knowing we were not perfect, he showed us the perfect model so that all of us, even in our simple imperfect lives could at least have the model of the simplest, perfect way to reach the end of the mortal path.

The forgiveness he gave us by giving up his mortal life in such a brutal and horrible way, gives us the opportunity to realize during our lives that we are imperfect, and ask him to lead us as we go, to make the best effort possible (in our imperfect ways) to reach the end and find the total forgiveness that lies in knowing that we have the ability to reach out and touch his hand when our mortal lives end.  He also gave us a warning.  That warning was the brutal and horrendous death he suffered and the instance of realization that his father had forsaken him (even though he led a perfect life, but to give us total and complete forgiveness and salvation), will not be just an instant to us, but the eternal and immortal suffering we will endure if we choose to ignore the lessons of our mortal imperfections.

This may not make sense, but we must all make the best effort we can, to realize who and what we are.  We should realize where we came from in the beginning, and what we need to do while we are mortal to get back to the starting point, having learned the lessons of a mortal and imperfect life.   We are born imperfect, we live imperfect lives, and in the end we die as imperfect souls who cross over to immortality and are forgiven completely for the mistakes we made, due in fact to lessons we learned of our imperfection, and because of Christ's sacrifice of that instant.

We must realize all of the mistakes we make, and learn from them, and strive to not make them again.  We must walk each path of life and learn its lesson, so that the next path is a realization of that lesson.  Each path gets harder, and the path after that harder still, but the knowledge of the previous path if learned properly, can make that next path easier to get down without succumbing to the mistakes of the previous one. God gives us no burden we can't bear.

Life is treacherous, costly, and in the end, deadly. Christ expects us to learn from our mistakes.  He knew before we were created that we were imperfect, because he gave us our own will, and he gave us our own freedom. He also gave us our own salvation, because without the learning process of the first two, we cannot possibly at the end of our path reach out and touch his hand.
